Lightroom presets folder locations
Many find themselves in a frustrating situation where they can’t find their Lightroom presets folder location. This is partly because there are various operating systems and different versions of Lightroom, which each have their own folder location.
I noticed that there was nowhere online that listed all the folder locations to the Lightroom presets. So here, I have laid out the folder locations of your Lightroom presets on every platform, and version of Lightroom.
First, you need to Show Hidden files
When installing Lightroom presets, on both Mac and Windows, the presets folder may be hidden. To view the hidden files, follow the steps below:
Mac: Open your finder window, so it activates Finder. Now go to the upper menu and click on the Go menu item, while holding option. Apple now hides the Library folder, which is where you need to go to get to the presets folder. When you hold option, it allows you to click on the Library folder.
Windows: Click your start menu > Control Panel > Appearance and Personalization > Folder options. Then click on the advanced area. Ensure that Show hidden files and folders is enabled.

- Windows 7: C:\Users\[user name]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Lightroom\Develop Presets
